My students love to be a part of the learning that happens everyday.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, many students have not been able to get the full distance learning experience due to lack of technological devices.
They get excited to get messages from me and want to continue their learning. For those students that have the devices to video chat, the excitement on their faces is uncontrollable. I would love all my students to have that same excitement even through distance learning.
My Project
As a teacher in a Title One school, keeping my students engaged in the classroom is hard at times, now, with Distance Learning. This has become extremely challenging especially for those families who do not have any technological devices or just have their cellphones. It is hard to get to speak to some of these students because the parent who has the cellphone is at work during the day. There are various children in the household that need to get on the cellphone to do their assignments. Providing the students with an iPad would help alleviate some of that stress and allow these students to actually attend the virtual meetings.
