My Students

Having enrolled in our school debate class, these students are primed to develop advanced research, writing, and communication skills. These debaters enjoy unparalleled support from a school community that is dedicated to making sure all students have the opportunity to participate in competitive debate.

The drive from each student in this debate class is such that they are ready to excel at the highest levels of competition, but a lack of resources holds them back.

Students that have enrolled in the school's debate class in the past have gone on to win their region tournament, but the lack of available computers for everyone in the class has meant that many of the benefits of the activity have been inaccessible to everyone that wants to participate.

My Project

With an iPad in the Video Production and Broadcast classroom, students will have the ability to instantly send their work to the projector to be viewed and critiqued by their teacher and peers. This functionally eliminates the bottlenecks that are often inherent to transferring large files.

Recent innovations and developments make it possible for teachers to interact with students using the iPads unique interface.

Students can receive comments posted directly to their videos, making it possible to mark up screens with advice and instruction on composition, lighting, and editing.

Students will also be able to create original illustrations and animations that add production value to their work.
