Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are used to using technology at home. We can't expect them to "power down" at school.

My students are creative and energetic.

They love to express themselves in the same way. Our school is a Title 1 school; therefore, our students come from low-socioeconomic homes. Being Title 1 does not determine what kind of students I have. They are bright, inquisitive, and eager to learn new things.

The iPad with case and pencil will allow the students to continue to integrate technology into my daily instruction. The applications that will help the special education, English Language Learners, gifted learners, as well as the general education students. They will be able to use the iPad in whole group lessons, small group instruction, and as a learning center. The applications that the students will use will allow them to practice skills that address the Common Core standards, which will in turn prepare them for our State Assessment that they take in March.

Using iPads in my classroom will assist my students in becoming college and career ready. It will also help them to meet our state's technology standards. Integrating technology in my class is so important--to me and my students.
