Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarten students are unique, fun-loving, and truly have a love for learning. My students constantly amaze me with their curiosity for the world around them. I teach in an Integrated Co-Taught class, which includes students with disabilities, English language learners, and students who come from various socioeconomic backgrounds.

My students come to school every day with big smiles and are excited to see what they are learning.

They love technology and are probably more savvy than me! I would love to provide my students with an iPad to enhance their natural curiosity and desire to learn more.

My Project

My students will use the iPad mini on a daily basis across all subjects including reading, writing, math, and social studies. There are countless educational apps, websites, games, and resources that my students can use to help with phonics instruction, word work, eBooks, math games, songs, videos and so much more!

We incorporate research into many of our writing units, and my students will use the iPad to conduct research on many different people, places, ideas and things.

The iPad and headphones will also serve as a support for my students who may become overstimulated and need a break. There is an area in our classroom where students can go, put the headphones and iPad on, and decompress. The iPad will serve many different purposes for my students and will help promote their learning and creativity!
