My Project

Title: Enhance Learning with an iPad for Our 2nd Graders!

Teacher: Ms. Ohan

School: HCS, Los Angeles

Grade Level: 2nd Grade

Project Goal: Provide an iPad with a stylus to maximize math and science instruction in our classroom.

My Students

I teach a wonderful group of 24 eager and bright 2nd graders. They are curious, creative, and excited to learn new things each day. Many of my students are English Language Learners and have diverse learning needs, and it's essential that they receive the support and resources they need to thrive.

The Need

Our classroom has a lot of hands-on activities, especially in math and science. Having access to an iPad with a stylus would allow me to provide dynamic lessons and more interactive learning experiences for my students. Whether it's drawing out science concepts, working through math problems together, or engaging in interactive educational apps, this technology will significantly enhance how we approach lessons.

The iPad and stylus will allow me to:

Create and annotate digital lessons for math and science in a way that's interactive and visually engaging.

Draw diagrams, graphs, and models to better explain difficult concepts that are hard for students to visualize.

Use educational apps to support the differentiated learning needs of my diverse learners.

Provide students with opportunities to engage with hands-on content.
