Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In my classroom, all students are capable of learning. As a Resource Specialist teacher, I work with students with disabilities. My students are faced with many obstacles that make it difficult for them to be successful. In addition to their learning challenges, many of my students are from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Regardless of their challenges, they never give up and inspire me every day with their resiliency and determination to graduate high school. These students deserve the best teacher possible and I go to work every day excited to introduce 21st century learning into my classroom.

My Project

An iPad will allow me to create interactive lessons and be able to effortlessly deliver accommodations to my students using Apple's many learning applications. Having an iPad will provide a way for me to project my lessons into my virtual classroom. Using the Apple Pencil, I can create handwritten notes and edits and be able to share with the students. Data tracking for their Individual Education Plans will also be extremely efficient on a tablet.

Having an iPad would transform the way I deliver virtual lessons.

An iPad will allow me to annotate the screen as I deliver lessons, which will help clarify the information for all learners. Additionally, an iPad will help me record high-quality lessons that will help students learn from home.

Virtual learning is very challenging, and an iPad will make it much easier for me, and my awesome students.
