My Students

Have you ever read a story and struggled so hard with the words that by the end of the page you have no idea what you read at the beginning? Imagine feeling like that all of the time? You would get very discouraged.

My class has a very positive outlook on learning and their daily struggles.

Teaching reading the same way to every child just won't work. Every answer my students give me during a lesson is an excellent answer. Sometimes it's the answer we want right now and sometimes we save it for later. The children have recently been introduced to an iPad and they glow when it is their turn! They have no idea that it is helping them with their sounds and math facts. They are playing games.

My Project

Getting another iPad mini will help the children go to the iPads more frequently and complete an iPad center. The children will blossom (especially the quiet ones). Some of the children are already afraid to answer questions due to cognitive delays and always feeling "wrong" . If they are on the iPad nobody knows if they make an error except themselves and they are more apt to try again.

I hope we can help the children.

They are such a great class and they deserve it. They really work so hard. They make me a better person and I hope to do the same for them. I truly can't wait to see them each day. I am truly blessed.
