My Students

Education is changing with technology but our school is stuck in the past! Please help us go into the future with an iPad! With an iPad we can look closer at the tiny atoms that shape the world we live in.

We are an arts school in NYC.

My students come from diverse backgrounds but are united in their dedication to academic and artistic excellence. Whenever possible I try to use technology to make our classroom a fun and engaging place to learn. Having this iPad in class would provide students with exposure to technology that will allow us to learn about chemistry in a fun and engaging way.

My Project

This iPad would bring so much joy into our classroom. Students love technology and the iPad and its applications would provide hours of learning and fun for them. There are tons of educational apps available that I will download for my students. Having an iPad in my classroom will help teach my students the important task of researching information. Additionally last year a Chemistry textbook designed specifically for the iPad was launched. Again, the apps brings chemistry alive. The books feature interactive images and 3D animations where students can zoom in on an image, rotate it and reveal additional information about it.

Not only is what we are learning changing but how we learn is also changing.

In the information-age technology supports our success. Having an iPad will help make our classroom be a more fun and engaging place that nurtures independent life-long learners. There are tons of educational apps available that I will download for my students. Please consider this proposal to continue to bring us into the future.
