My Students

I do my best to remove any roadblock that exists between my students and learning.

Our school is full of diverse learners of varying ability.

They are fun, creative, smart, funny, and have wonderful potential. We serve a small population that is very representative of our eclectic community. The role our school plays in serving and developing the future leaders of our community, which many of our teachers are a part of, is incredibly valuable.

My Project

Students will use the calculators in class to assist with assignments. These calculators will allow the students to focus on the higher level concepts of algebra and geometry by eliminating the time spent on basic calculations. Also, students who regularly make errors in arithmetic will not be hindered from learning higher level concepts such as slope, factoring, probability, etc. These calculators also have higher level functionality, which will be helpful in trigonometry, probability, statistics, and finite math.

Whether a student forgets a calculator or if their parents are not in a position to purchase one for them, they should not be deprived of the same educational experience as other students.

This will make a simple, but significant difference for many students.
