Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every child is a priority!! As teachers we aim to teach our lessons using all the learning modalities: kinesthetic, auditory, and of course visual but the lack of resources can make this complicated.

I teach in a low social economic school in Southern California.

I have 23 students with different needs and personalities. Twenty-two are English Language Learners whose primary language is Spanish. Most of my students are visual learners who lack academic vocabulary and deserve to have appropriate technology that will broaden their learning possibilities.

My Project

Can you blame students for not acquiring as much through lecture-type lessons? I think not, especially English Language Learners. Their face of confusion says it all. The projector will allow students to match the words being said with enlarged educational visuals. NO MORE PUZZLED FACES! It will also allowed students to interact with read alouds as the illustrations come alive. During Writer's Workshop students will be able to share their work -- work that will serve as mentor text for others.

"Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I'll remember; involve me and I'll understand." Please help my English Language acquire academic success through the use of projected curriculum.
