This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am so exciting to be posting this project. This has been my biggest goal since I have started teaching; to give my students some more comfortable seating options (like the futon and bean bag chairs) that they can relax in as they read a book.

My goal with this project is that my students will feel more drawn to the reading nook if it looks like a comfortable place to them.

I work with students who sometimes only really get the opportunity to read at school, and I want to make sure that when they are in a reading mood, there's a comfortable place where they can really engulf themselves in a good book.

My students are incredibly dear and near to my heart because a majority of them come in with a hatred for reading but the work we do together, has grown a love for reading within them.
