My students are part of the modern media communications magnet program. We specialize in integrating 21st-century skills within our math and science curriculum. One project we are working on is kid blogging and publishing student work into text.
Please support my class to become 21st-century learners and leaders!
My Project
Students will use the lesson plan created by fellow Donor's Choose teacher Mr. De La Pena. With the AKJ resources (games and supplies) students will have the opportunity to play and engage in 6th grade standards that are centered through investigation. Students learn the importance of decision making, by implementing math skills like; money cost, investments, quizmo fractions and decimals, cooking measurements and a pay day board game.
Gaming in education, especially math, has been proven to assist students in academic achievement.
Making math fun, engaging and relatable will allow students a new way of exploring math through realistic application.
