My Students

In our elementary school, our third graders are vibrant and eager learners. There are approximately 30 students in our grade. Our students have a willingness to learn, but need the resources to be successful. Parents, students, and staff work cohesively to promote a love for learning and hard work.

We are a community of learners in which all children are encouraged to achieve high academic standards.

Our school promotes acceptance to celebrate diversity and social success. Students are motivated to become life-long achievers and make an impact in their community.

My Project

Students will continue their learning of grade three mathematicial concepts. Our students demonstrated that they can be very creative when they are allowed to choose their own methods for solving mathematical problems. Without the ability to inquire while thinking, students will not learn to make decisions. Having access to mathematical reading books students will have an opportunity to learn from one another and provide opportunities to use multiple solution strategies for the same problem. Our goal is to help students become mathematically literate citizens. We realized that problem solving wasn’t about knowing the solution to the problem, it is understanding knowledge.
