Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All of the children who come to science will be able to learn and enjoy our new animal friends, but more specifically: The second graders learning about plants, will have the opportunity to have real pollinators to observe! Third graders learning about inherited traits, will be able to document the traits of these organisms to compare them! The fourth graders who studied food chains, will be able to witness first hand how important various insects are, as food to other animals, (and food for plants too, like the venus fly-trap)! Fifth graders who have investigated life cycles will be able to relate what they have learned to real life observations in the classroom!
Please help me allow my students to experience the real life magic of nature, by providing our science classroom with live insects that will change before their eyes through the metamorphosis process!
