My students need hands-on invention and programming experiences. Purchasing the Makey Makey kits would allow them opportunities to become inventors and programmers.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I work at a STEM school and teach STEM classes to 3rd 4th and 5th graders. My school is a Title1 school where 47% of our students are considered to be at poverty level, and the only access most students have to technology is their parent's cell phone. My hope is to narrow the technology gap for my students.
Exposing students to different types of technology is my goal, and I try to provide as many hands-on learning experiences for them as possible.

Computer science is becoming an important addition to education in the United States. Computer jobs are growing 2 times the national average and it is estimated that there will be a shortage of employees to fill computer related jobs in the near future. What better way to prepare students who come from lower income families for future jobs than to teach technology in a creative way.
Young students need hands-on experiences and the Makey Makey kits will provide electronic invention tools for students to program. They can combine technology with creativity.
I would like to purchase 11 Makey Makey kits to give students a hands-on invention tool. These Makey Makey kits will allow my students to explore, create, and become inventors.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
