My Students

My students are inquisitive, energetic, 1st graders. They love hands on projects and come to school everyday ready to learn and try new things.

An interactive whiteboard will allow them to work together and use technology to increase their engagement with each other and the teacher.

They come to school excited to see what new thing we are going to do that day and with an interactive whiteboard we will be able to display what we plan on working on that day, play games together to increase math and reading skills, and display books to be read aloud to struggling readers.

My students come from diverse backgrounds and all of them are entitled to learn in an environment that fosters their creativity and inspires them to become better readers and mathematicians.

My Project

We are requesting portable interactive whiteboard that they will use in our classroom to work together to master reading, math, and science skills. The use of an interactive digital whiteboard will allow us to work collaboratively in the classroom. We will be able to work in small groups, as a whole class and individually at the whiteboard. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work.

We will be able to improve our focus in math, reading, writing, and science!

Students will be able to use the whiteboard to engage in lessons with each other and the teacher. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
