My Students
I would like to introduce you to an amazing group of learners who are eager and ready to grow. They often face challenges while learning a new language. However, that doesn't stop their curiosity or tenacity.
They love to work in cooperative groups to cultivate their ideas and encourage and support one another.
The primary goals for my students are listening, speaking, reading and writing. I intend to use different modalities in teaching in order for them to reach these goals.
My Project
My goal is to engage my students through visuals. Students are more apt to learn new vocabulary if they are able the connect to a visual. In this notebook they will keep different pictures they have created or researched to acquire new language.
Project-based learning, particularly, helps to support English language learners because it adds a hands-on, engaging connection to enhance the learning experience.
By creating a graphic representation, the students can use the visual to connect to new vocabulary words to gain a better understanding. In class, we also want to bridge prior knowledge of their first language to support the acquisition of their newest language.
