Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it is like to take notes with a plain old pencil? Well my students take their notes in an interactive notebook; where they are allowed to use colored pencil and markers to take their notes and complete classroom assignments.

I teach 6th, 7th & 8th grade language arts.

My students have various types of learning disabilities. Due to their learning disabilities school is not their favorite place to be. Learning can be a challenge at times, but thankful this year we have incorporated an interactive notebook that allows students to express themselves creatively as they learn. It is amazing how excited they become while learning about adjectives if they can make their notes colorful!

My Project

We started off the year with each student using a supply box. In the supply box were various marker, crayons and colored pencils all brand new ready for learning to occur. Well you can imagine that after 1st quarter our supply boxes are looking very used. By you supporting our classroom you will be able to fill our supply boxes with beautiful new markers and colored pencils.

Simply using a pencil is not enough for our interactive notebook.

Students need color to help their learning come to life. How can you learn about verb only using one color? Will you help students spice up their interactive notebook with new colored pencils and markers?
