My Project

My school has about 750 elementary school students, and we still have media carts with old projectors in the middle of every classroom. I wish we could have hanging projectors in every classroom to give more space to the students, and all the students would be able to see better. We should have a smart TV in every classroom, but in reality, none are equipped with any high-tech equipment for teachers and students to learn.

Having this Interactive Smart Board in my classroom will not only benefit the students but all the teachers and staff members as well.

It will be mainly used during the day to engage the struggling readers to learn. Students can stay focused, and engaged, and have fun while learning to read. They will be excited to come to my classroom to have a chance to write on the interactive board.

Students will get to highlight the phonics skills that we will be working on, circle sight words, and practice printing letters and words as well.

My room is used as a Professional Development and staff meeting room every Tuesday for the teachers. When the students are not using the board, it will be well used by all the teachers at our training and meetings. It can be wheeled into another classroom for other teachers. This board will also be used to share presentations while having community meetings with parents and community members. Thank you so much for your kind consideration in supporting our school!
