This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A rough gem in a border city, our school is dedicated to fostering curiosity and the love of learning through any means possible. Our community is in a low income area where our students don't experience science nor travel. Through the use of "Galaxy Projector" we want to teach students how our world is but a tiny bubble in an ocean of galaxies. Identifying where Earth is located and where other planets are in our galaxy. This would support our 5th grade students the most who will take a Science test at the end of the school year.

The students in our community have very limited background knowledge and life experiences.

Providing them with these items it would allow them to get more deeper knowledge.

With the virtual reality headset, I would like for students to be able to experience traveling to different cities and countries to expand their knowledge of museums, and other locations. Our community of students have very limited experience when having things come to life.
