Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year for the first time I get to work with 7th graders. I took them under my wings just recently which was on March 11. Most of them, about 98%, come from low income homes. My students are full of energy. They are talkative, easily get distracted, but they longed for structure and truly good teaching like all students. So, I want to rise to their expectations.

Prior to my arrival in their classroom these students' conduct was not at all pleasant.

Now it is much better as I and their parents are communicating.

My Project

I want my students to have the opportunity to make their notebooks come alive and for that to happen I need to have the necessary materials ready for them.

My students need coloring pencils to make their mathematical and science work like graphs, geometric shapes, diagrams, and/or any type of drawing or illustrations fun and emphatic.

The tape is necessary for them to keep graphic organizers in place. Pencils are needed daily for students who come without them to class. My students always like fun and neat labels for their notebooks. Lastly the heavy duty tape will be used to recycle notebooks. Specifically, it will be used to keep used pages taped together.
