Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

After teaching ESL abroad for the past 7 years, immigrating to the United States, and graduating with a California teaching credential, I am *finally* ready to welcome my first class of 25 students on American soil!

Take a peek inside our 4 walls and you will find the most richly diverse space where students are speaking multiple languages with multiple abilities across many races and ethnicities - all sharing one common goal - the pursuit of knowledge.

Our school is a K-5, Title I, public school, with a population of over 900 students with our entire school qualifying for the free breakfast and lunch program. With full bellies and eager minds, the students are ready to learn, engage, play, and grow. I am reaching out to all of you for help to ensure we have the right tools and supplies to have a successful year!

My Project

I will purchase the three bundles on TpT and the notebooks from Staples, so I can send them home with the students and they can cut and paste into their interactive notebooks. The idea is they are having fun while learning in new ways. They are already sitting in front of a computer for hours each day, so I am hoping to keep them busy and having fun at the same time.

I want learning to be engaging and fun again for the students - even at home!

Please help me send home interactive notebooks so they aren't just answering worksheets from the (dated) textbooks.
