This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Learning is an interactive process. Learning is also a task whose depth depends on the individual engaging in the task. Hence, to maximize learning for all students and ensure equitable access to content differentiation must occur. This is where technology comes in. We as teachers have a vast volume of information to make learning possible beyond even our wildest dreams.

Laptops in the classroom for everyday use are an instrument that I can consistently use to run interactive programs that make mathematics more accessible to all my students.

My goal with the project is to be able to run centers on a regular basis where students are able to use the class set of laptops to run powerful and interactive mathematics games that can be used to close academic gaps. I envision my students being able to use assistive technology via the use of the laptops and have it as a means to provide different stimuli to reinforce learning.
