Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are young learners who are currently navigating English language learning in either a blended or remote environment. They are so excited to learn and be a part of school and learning new things. I learn a lot from them too.

In this stage of their academic careers, they need to have their emotional and social needs met now more than ever.

These students are in a new time in which education is changing and they are taking it in stride. I'm so proud of them and their achievements as everything is changing around them.

My Project

Children learn best when allowed to be interactive with the material online in real time. I've used Nearpod before and have created and used amazing lessons that had students interacting with each other on the laptop/tablet. This really helped in grasping the concepts I was teaching.

Nearpod has made remote learning fun for my students.

I want to continue that feeling. I've also been able to assign student paced work for them to do with specific guidance from myself even if I'm not there. This also helped parents when helping their children with the activities.
