This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My ENL students are a group of diverse students who have many different needs. My groups are filled with students at the entering and emerging levels and receive small group instruction in the ENL classroom. Being that my school has a large ELL population, there are three teachers that all work in one classroom. At the moment we all share one smart board and this is not always feasible when multiple groups are learning at the same time. Therefore, this mobile StanByMe board will help boost engagement and participation in lessons.

My students are noticeably more engaged when they are able to see the lessons on a board versus a laptop and this board will allow the lessons to be interactive.

I will be able to display my slides on the mobile board and the students will be able to see the visuals that are needed to support their learning in clear, vivd color. Interactive lessons and visual aids are essential to ELLs acquiring the English Language. This mobile screen board will allow my students to be engaged during instruction and to interact with the lessons.

The use of technology is a large asset in my students education. By donating to this project, you will help my current and future students receive effective small group instruction in ENL, which in turn will lead to the improvement of their English language acquisition.
