My Students

Our classroom is a self-contained Special Education Classroom. It is a small environment in which we have 15 students to 1 teacher. We try our best to incorporate speaking, reading, listening and writing to help the students retain and enjoy Spanish. We want them to have a basis on which to go out and learn.

My students are all different types of learners.

They are a diverse group of student with special needs in a suburban urban environment. The students are a lot of fun. They enjoy engaging in technology to learn the language as well as having visual representations to illustrate the lesson.

My Project

The student will be using the laptop computers to create JPG File, or PowerPoint presentations to present in their Spanish classroom. They will use the computers to design a classroom for their "Design a Classroom" project. The pictures they discover, as well as the resources available to them on the Internet will allow them to learn and discover the language from a different modality.

They will also be able to make up work using these laptops.

Multiple types of learners will be targeted using the program Duolingo.com that otherwise would not have been helped without these devices.
