My Students

All of my students have autism. They learn very differently from other children. They are highly visual and kinesthetic learners. They love to move, sing, and explore the classroom. Learning for them has to be fun and engaging. Using textured materials, realia, and manipulatives help them enjoy learning reading, writing, as well as math.

My students love to learn.

They try their very best to be in school every day. They try their hardest during learning time. Their parents are our partners in education, without their help, the children will not be as successful as they are now.

My students are integrated every day with their non-disabled peers and they are well-respected and loved by our school, by other children, and our community.

My Project

Distance learning had been a great challenge for most children with special needs. The green screen technology will offer the students fun interactive lessons to make them engage in the topics we are learning. The zoo and farm animal cut-outs will be used together with the green screen to interact with the lessons by pointing and matching.

The workbooks will be used for helping the students practice their handwriting skills so that they can continue to learn how to write their letters, numbers, words, and their names.

Remote learning has been a great challenge for us teachers but, with the help of all these materials and our great sponsors, teaching and learning will give my students the learning experience they will always remember!
