Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hungry to explore the world. My seventh graders would really like to travel to unknown places. Many have not traveled outside of the state. Many of them lack the resources to travel to other places.

My students are from a high poverty area with a great number of ELLS (English Language Learners) and also a high population of special need students.

My classroom consists mostly of second language learners, special education students, as well as some regular education students. Some GT (gifted and talented) that are ready to take ownership of their, learning to help them be successful in life.

My Project

My students would really enjoy these 3D Battle of the Alamo books. With these books they will be able to travel back into 1836 with the 3D augmented reality of the Alamo Battle. With this book students will have the ability to peek into another world, and step into the Alamo.

Students will also have the ability to meet the heros that helped defend the Alamo, and see animated scenes based on historical facts.

Being able to provide this for my students would really help them internalize their class lesson without having to leave the room. Giving this opportunity for my students will also help them integrate their technology to access this 3D reality.
