My Project

Fifth grade social studies is a passion for me as well as the 60 students that I serve. We will be integrating art into social studies as well as using literature circle based programs into our curriculum. The materials and supplies that will be funded with this grant will allow students to read a variety of text at and above reading level that expand students understanding of the topics related to 5th grade social studies.

Along with this, students will use art supplies as well as tote bag material to create a Native American art piece that can be used for years to come.

Other supplies that are with in the grant will help facilitate learning of geography, and history through play.
