My Students

My students are middle school math students who have a love of and for learning. They are extremely technological driven who use technology for math, STEM projects, project-based learning, and Go Math. The different learning styles among them require a lot of hands-on activities.

My students come from a low-income/high poverty school district and technological instruments must be shared by many students at once.

I want to provide my students with meaningful learning experiences and allow them to each have an instrument to conduct their assignments.

My Project

I am requesting padded chairs, a projector mount, Veteran's Day decorations, and other materials to integrate Humanities with the Arts. Every year our school celebrates our local veterans on Veteran's Day. This school wide celebration includes video of student presentations, songs, poems, and the like. The chairs will ensure our presenters and guests are comfortable. No more sitting in uncomfortable chairs. The projector mount will be used to ensure the projector is off the floor and up out of the way to allow for the program to flow better. In addition, I am requesting speakers to be used in the classroom for practice purposes. They will be able to Bluetooth their music, create CD and/or DVDs of their presentation for this special day. Also, I am requesting the American Flag bunting to wrap around the stage. We want the area nice and presentable for our guests. Finally, I am requesting binders that will allow students to place their song or poem within and present in a uniform manner. We want our students looking good during the presentation too.
