This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My instrument inventory is growing! Thanks to many generous donors, my music classroom has received a lot more instruments. Right now, I have an open bookshelf I used to use to hold books, instruments, and supply boxes. It really isn't a sturdy bookshelf.

Now, I need a place to safely store my instruments.

This year, it's practically just taking up space. It's a safety hazard to hold supplies on the shelf that could fall on the students, and they're constantly hitting their hands on the shelves during movement activities. I've had a few students steal some items.

The cabinet I am requesting through DonorsChoose will allow safer and more secure storage. The doors would also be used as bulletin boards.
