Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At the Young Women's Leadership School of Brooklyn, we use a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system to encourage and reinforce positive student behavior. Students earn "COPR Dollars" that can be redeemed for rewards and privileges at our school store.

With your help, we can stock an exciting new PBIS school store with engaging rewards that will motivate our young women of color to continue making positive choices.

By funding this project, you will provide our students with fun and desirable incentives like:

- Trendy school supplies (pens, pencils, notebooks, locker magnets)

- Small toys and games

- Snacks

- Privileges like eating lunch with a teacher

Having interesting rewards are known to increase positive behavior within schools. An inviting school store will encourage our students to keep striving to earn PBIS points through exemplary behavior and academic effort. Please help us motivate the amazing young leaders at our school to continue on their paths of success.
