This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Areli Is a Dreamer is a book about a girl that lives in Mexico while her family lives in New York. The story deals with topics such as migration, hopes and dreams.

Areli dreams about being a writer or a teacher to help other children.

I hope that this book inspires students to dream, too!

I have selected some copies in English and some copies in Spanish to further increase our bilingual library. These copies will help my students work in a project based on stories that they can relate to.
