My Project

Providing my students with hands-on STEM resources not only nurtures their natural curiosity but also builds foundational skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Each STEM resource I’m requesting will enhance their learning in unique ways. A new class set of headsets will help students focus during interactive STEM lessons and virtual field trips, providing an immersive learning experience. Materials such as colorful rubber bands and corks are essential for building and engineering projects, these materials encourage creativity and problem-solving as students design and test their inventions. A set of balloon car kits will help me engage students as I teach principles of physics and engineering, allowing my students to explore concepts like force, motion, and aerodynamics through hands-on experimentation. By assembling and experimenting with solar-powered models, students will learn about renewable energy and environmental science in a fun, engaging manner. Balancing blocks will help students understand basic physics and balance, enhancing their spatial awareness and critical thinking skills. Useful for creating detailed prints and designs, a set of cutting tools will allow students to explore geometry and art, fostering their creativity and fine motor skills. A new classroom set of hydraulics kits will introduce students to the principles of hydraulics and mechanical engineering, helping them understand how machines work.

My goals for this DonorsChoose project are to inspire a love for STEM in my students, equip them with critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and prepare them for future academic and career opportunities in STEM fields.

What makes my students special is their diversity, resilience, and eagerness to learn. They come from various backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to our classroom. By providing them with these resources, I aim to create an inclusive and stimulating environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.
