We want to get outside! Our students are thinkers, doers and builders! We need an area so we can take our learning outdoors and we need the supplies to do so.
First and Second graders need to explore!
We want to provide our students with the best learning possible. We live in the beautiful countryside but we are not taking advantage of it. Building an outdoor classroom will help us do that. Our students work best when there is a change of pace and place.
My Project
We will be using the supplies to build our outdoor classroom. Our students will have the opportunity to use this space all year to deepen their understanding with hands on, project based learning. Clipboards will give our students a flat surface to write on, yoga mats will give alternative seating to picnic tables and our shade tents will provide shelter from the sun.
Outdoor learning creates team players as well as engaged, motivated and flexible thinkers!
We will be taking math, science, reading and writing to the outdoors. We will explore all the wonders of nature and use what we find to enhance our leaning.
