Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our project aims to enhance the learning experience for our exceptional students through the creation and support of the BRAVE Cave, our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) store. This unique initiative transforms the educational landscape by reinforcing positive behaviors and fostering a sense of responsibility, respect, and engagement.

This initiative aligns with our broader objective of promoting positive behaviors, instilling essential life skills, and reinforcing the importance of making responsible choices.

Our primary goal is to further empower our students by expanding the offerings in the BRAVE Cave. The project also aims to teach financial literacy as students manage their Brave Bucks, promoting real-world skills in budgeting and saving.

The items requested will be instrumental in the success of our BRAVE Cave, where students utilize their hard-earned Brave Bucks to acquire a variety of educational and motivational items. By incorporating this incentive system, we cultivate a positive environment that not only recognizes but also rewards students for embodying our brave motto: Be Safe, Respectful, Appreciative, Versatile, and Engaged. The BRAVE Cave becomes a tangible representation of their achievements, creating a dynamic atmosphere conducive to learning and personal development.

Our students come from the vibrant Bronx community, where positivity plays a crucial role in shaping behaviors and attitudes. The PBIS program has proven instrumental in inspiring positive conduct, fostering a safe and respectful learning environment. The BRAVE Cave serves as a catalyst for this transformation, providing a hands-on experience in money management and decision-making. By supporting this project, you contribute to the creation of a community that not only values education but also equips its students with the tools to navigate real-life situations with confidence and resilience.
