My Project

This is my first year teaching ESL, and I am teaching students at two different schools. I am currently looking for some basic teaching supplies that will help me to teach more effectively. I currently share space in each school with another teacher, and I want to make sure I'm not having to constantly borrow items from them (per district rules, all supplies from my previous classroom stayed in my previous classroom). Additionally, I teach grades K-8, and the seating in our room is not size-appropriate for my younger learners. Finally, I want to start building a library of children's books reflecting my students' home countries.

Help me give my students a comfortable work area, relevant books, and some basic supplies to help them as they strive to become multilingual.

My newcomer students are very enthusiastic and work hard; I am already astounded by how quickly they are learning a second (or even third or fourth!) language, and I want to make their experiences in my ESL classroom one they look forward to.
