My Project

As a dedicated 6th-grade teacher, I am always seeking ways to grow professionally and create a positive learning environment for my students. This year, I am excited about the opportunity to participate in professional training with Breath for Change, an organization that focuses on self-care, yoga, and mindfulness practices for educators.

This training will equip me with tools to foster my own wellness, enhance my teaching practices, and bring mindfulness into the classroom.

By learning techniques for stress management, emotional regulation, and intentional movement, I will strengthen my ability to stay present and responsive to my students' needs. These skills are not only vital for my professional growth but also for creating a thriving classroom culture.

Through Breath for Change, I will integrate mindfulness exercises, yoga sequences, and social-emotional learning strategies into our daily routines. My students will benefit from having a calm and balanced teacher who models these practices, and they will gain skills to manage stress, improve focus, and build emotional resilience.

Imagine a classroom where students begin their day with mindful breathing, take brain breaks with yoga poses, and learn to navigate challenges with kindness and self-awareness. These tools will help my students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, setting them up for success in school and beyond.
