Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our 6th-grade classroom, creativity is at the heart of learning. Whether we are mummifying stuffed animals in handmade shoebox sarcophagi, crafting detailed plaster masks for our Greek theater unit, or designing model dolls to bring historical figures to life in our biography unit, my students thrive when given the opportunity to engage with hands-on projects. These activities make learning tangible, transforming abstract concepts into memorable experiences.

Through artistic expression, students deepen their understanding of complex topics while building confidence in their own abilities.

These projects push my students to think critically, collaborate, and develop skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

I believe creative projects unlock unknown possibilities. With the right materials, my students can turn their ideas into reality, crafting work that reflects their knowledge, imagination, and individuality. Give them the tools, and watch what they can do.
