This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As grade levels, we are constantly collaborating and developing project-based learning opportunities for our students. With Cricut machines and tools, students will be able to design and create their own projects that directly correlate to our state standards. Students must use math and creative thinking skills in creating designs.

Over the past two year, students really missed on opportunities to work in collaborative settings and to develop their social skills that enable them to become productive citizens of any community.

Because of their ability to be universal and their mobility, we can share these materials across grade levels and give many more students the opportunity to engage in creative projects. They will also have to reinforce essential computer skills and work collaboratively to brainstorm their ideas and creations and subsequently bring them to life. They will be able to create props and other items to accompany their writing projects. These machines will also give them the opportunity to propose their own projects and give them ownership over their own meaningful learning experiences.
