My Students

My 2nd grade students are very eager to learn. My school is a Title I school where over 50% of the kids receive free or reduced price lunches. These kids come from very diverse homes and many of them are English language learners.

My students meet me each day with enthusiasm wanting to know what the school day holds for them.

They are always ready to learn new skills and concepts, explore through hands-on learning, and meet their full potential daily!

My Project

My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoyI strive to have a diverse collection of books for my students. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. We are in need of biographies for our living museum for black history month. My students are so excited to learn about these amazing people that helped change our world.

I would love to have more biographies of diverse people to inspire my students.
