This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are my world! I love each class with all my heart. I want only the best for them and they are so eager to learn even during a pandemic! It is my job to inspire them and encourage them in all that they do, big and small.

I always tell them “if you can dream it, you can achieve it.” I work in the largest school district NYC in the Bronx!

Students are our future leaders! They ROCK!

My Project

My third grade students have been through a lot this past year! They are eager to learn and this school year will be very unique. Since my students are coming to school with a bunch of different emotions, I wanted them to be able to express themselves through their writing. I found this wonderful website "Student Treasures". The company sent me a kit so my students can create and get a copy of their very own keepsake book. This project promotes student collaboration, builds self-esteem while releasing some of their emotions. The class decided to write about the pandemic and what they endured throughout the months that they had to stay and learn from home. Their stories are heartwarming and real!
