My Project

All students can write when given the right tools and engaging setting. Writing should be a time that students tap into their imaginations to create stories, informational books, opinions, and how-to books.

Before writing, engaging students with hands-on storytelling through art, play doh, and paint allows kinesthetic learners with hands on learning.

For example, students can use Play-Doh to make something they are experts on. Thus leading to oral conversations with one another.

Currently, my students sit at their desks to write, but I want to create a space that allows them to explore different seating options, such as lap desks and cushions. Making sure they feel comfortable is a crucial component in motivating my students to write.
