Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of blocks can help children flourish in their early years. By giving them materials to manipulate and transform their world, they are encouraged to use their imagination and critical thinking skills. I am requesting building blocks for my students to be able to build the structures they are inspired by.

Studies show that 3-year-olds block buildings ability positively correlate to the spatial skills they obtain around the age of 5 years old.

Those that have better spacial skills are more likely to succeed in the field of technology, science, engineering, and mathematics. If my children are able to get these building blocks they will be better able to exercise their design complexity skills, as well as better understand patterns.
