This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Teacher Pay Teacher is an excellent resource to supplement student learning. Having this gift card will allow me to purchase excellent and useful activities for specific targeted needs in the classroom.
I'm requesting this gift card, so I may purchase specific grade level activities to meet the needs of the different levels of English language learners in my classroom especially in reading and math.
My students will be able to use the supplemental material to reinforce math such as number sense , addition/subtraction and place value. They will also be able to use the reading material to focus on letter sound recognition, blending/segmenting activities as well as teach them how to write different genres. Students will be able to work independently, during center-time or in small groups based on their academic level. Since all activities will be differentiated students will feel successful in their learning.
The resources available are subject-based, grade-level appropriate, current, and relevant. This gift card will help me to find resources at different levels to meet ALL the learning modalities in the classroom.
My students are second language learners. They need their learning to be scaffolded, engaging, hands-on and fun.
