My Project

My students are naturally curious and enjoy learning about current events. Subscribing to Scholastic News gives them something to look forward to each week that is in a different format than any of our other school materials. Many of the articles align with our curriculum and also provide excellent material to build collaborative activities around. The focus on vocabulary is so helpful in my students' writing pieces and expanding their knowledge when reading a text. We also love the digital pieces that provide a great introduction to the weekly articles and vocabulary.

Scholastic News will make a difference in my students' learning by providing quality nonfiction text to read about current events, science, and social studies.

The articles are always high interest, and there are many activities that come with the magazine that align with the standards we teach in various subjects. Scholastic News will add a new, exciting way to read nonfiction during our weekly literacy lessons!
