My Project
Each year, I put together 5th grade kits for my students. The items that I am requesting are bookmarks, pencils, Laffy Taffy, Lifesavers, glowsticks, stickers and erasers. Each item in the bag stands for something. On the front of the bags I staple a saying that explains what each item stands for. In addition to the survival kits I put labels on water bottles that have a cute, inspirational saying on them. Each year I also put together birthday bags for my students to give them on their birthday. For these birthday bags I am requesting pencils, goody bags, cards, birthday squishies and candy.
In our class we focus on social-emotional development, which leads to higher academic performance.
