My Students
My students come from diverse backgrounds and are motivated to learn. We are fortunate to have many students that are born leaders and use our school community as their forum for peace and kindness. These special students strive each day to do their best, by spreading the message of the Conflict Resolution program around our school community!
These students are highly motivated self-starters that just need the tools for success!
My students come from various ethnic backgrounds giving us the opportunity to discuss their cultures and use those discussions to promote a community accepting of others. They are the future presidents and kindness ambassadors of the world!
My Project
My school has been working toward the social emotional growth of our students by educating about diversity, equality and kindness. Students have been immersed in a Conflict Resolution program which fosters this ideology, along with building one’s self esteem.
My students use technology on a daily basis and want to combine their technological skills with writing and the arts in a meaningful manner.
A staff member proposed the idea of my students writing their own inspirational quotes and beautifying a necessary place in our school, the bathrooms. Students jumped on the idea and would like to learn the technology and mathematics involved in using the Cricut machine to create inspirational quotes made of vinyl. Students and staff will then use the vinyl to decorate each bathroom in the building.
This project solidifies the Conflict Resolution program with academic skills in mathematics, technology and writing to turn a somewhat drab place into a haven where one’s self esteem is fostered!
