I am a first grade teacher in a low income school on the south side of Chicago. My students absolutely love science! In first grade, we spend a large amount of time discussing insects and plants. Unfortunately, we do not have any hands-on activities that supplement these units from our current science curriculum. I am asking for your help to change this. I have found great hands-on science activity tubs that re-enforce learning about insects and plants. Each tub comes with everything the students need to explore these concepts in-depth. It includes easy-to-use cards featuring fun, cross-curricular activities based on national science standards. The tubs come packed with tons of props for hands-on discovery, and includes write & wipe experiment charts, a set of writing prompts and a book that further explores insects and plants. I feel that my students would really benefit using these activity tubs. I know they would enjoy working with their hands to learn more about their two favorite first grade science topics. It is just a greater benefit for me to know that they will be learning every step of the way! You can help my students have an even greater love for science.
