Help Ms. Mixon

Help inspire young minds! Science has always been a favorite subject of mine. However, because of lack of resources, I am unable to provide for my students the wonders of scientific exploration. I have 22 students in my class. I would love to be able to open their eyes to a fantastic world of Scientific Investigation! Typically we read books or visit sites via the INTERNET that contain scientific information, but nothing is like actually seeing with your own eyes and doing it with your own hands. I would like to develop a Science Exploration Center for my classroom. In this center will be materials for hands on exploring and activities that enhance the learning of state objectives. Students will be given Investigations(experiments) to complete or they can come up with their own "Investigation" that has been pre-approved by me. In order for this to be a success, I need materials that my system is unable to purchase. Some materials will even be shared with other classroom teachers in my school. Thank you so much.
